Designed for photographers, content creators and digital designers of all skill levels, Datacolor’s Spyder Essential Colorimeter is a display calibration tool for today’s digital workflows. It enables your display to accurately represent the images you capture, create, edit and display. Calibrating a monitor allows for an accurate color starting point for editing, allowing users to express their creative vision and share their work, digitally and in print.

Thanks to Datacolor’s Device Preview Beta feature, users will see how their images might look on other devices without having to use the actual devices. Instead, choose from a selection of profiles for a smartphone, tablet or other device. This can also be used to soft test and preview how prints will look for a specific printer model, paper and ink, and print service provider, using an ICC printer profile. One-click calibration presets are also available that can help achieve professional results.

Adapt to changing lighting

Auto Room Light Switching measures and monitors the lighting around you to ensure your current display profile is the best fit for your environment. Not every task requires controlled lighting, so allowing Spyder to adjust the calibration to your room lighting will ensure your display profile is optimal. During a room light calibration, multiple profiles are created for different levels of room light.

Use CheckCal for peace of mind

CheckCal is Datacolor’s answer to the question, “Is my calibration still valid?” CheckCal runs a short test on your display to verify that your calibration is up to date.
